As much as I hate the term HOTlanta (natives NEVER call it that) - it is true. There are some gyms near the office. Piedmont Hospital is right up the street. But at $60+/month for an intown gym I am (in my mind) rapidly paying for the electric bike after I start adding everything up. Really, mainly I am not looking for ways to bike it using my own power as much as I am looking to see if anyone else has shopped around. I really like the electric bike option. It even has an assist mode where it just doubles your pedal power so you can kinda have the best of both worlds. It's not strictly a math equation for me.
