Thanks for all the help. I've tried the earliest System Restore. I've tried
reinstalling service pack 3 to see if it could replace any missing files.
There's still issues revolving around tcp/ip ipconfig yields a "unable to
query host name" I spent a day trying to fix that and no google result I
found was the answer. There's no disc drive and I don't have an external
dvd drive so I can't run the sfc /scannow I even tried mounting the image
and still can't. I've looked into moving the image to a thumb drive and I
did that but it's giving issues too. Being that this isn't mine netbook I
don't want to do more damage than already's done. I'll let my friend know
today that I am out of options.
