I think Warren Bufftet's real beef is that the rules are screwed up. He follow the rules in both his personal and business taxes. They are just screwy rules. This case is about whether or not they were following the rules.
Buffett wants congress to change the rules. Till they change, it is completely consistent for him to follow them in all cases.
