I agree it would draw a lot of traffic, but would it be profitable? With Apple's model, the "geniuses" support Apple products and hardware, so if you come in with a question it doesn't matter whether you bought the item at that store or are intending to buy anything at that store. Regardless of where you buy that Apple product, Apple is getting the money one way or the other. Since Best Buy doesn't actually produce anything, they rely on sales at their stores. If they pushed the Geek Squad as a Q&A free-for-all then people would bring their questions to the store and then search around online for the best deal rather than pay higher in-store price. Some would buy in-store, but would it be enough to subsidize all the people with questions who already purchased elsewhere or have no intention of buying? I think they'd have trouble making that profitable. -Justi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:349214 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
