I have over 700 friends, from all the different aspects of my life, so I organized them into custom friend lists, and I only read the lists each day that I really want to keep up with, like my family and close friends. Occasionally, I'll check in on people on the other lists. The longest list contains my cousins - huge family, multiple generations, currently has 132 people on it. The second longest are those on my tech list, which includes all the CF peeps.
Admittedly, even with the lists, I have an unfair advantage, cause I read very, very fast. Most of my lost time on FB is waiting for my assets to load in Cityville and Gardens of Time because my city and gardens are massive.
