I think it is fair to say, we all have skeletons in the closet. (I scrapped my first philosohpical diatribe, but this could be a fun thread.)
I was never malicious in my youth, a little chaotic. This topic makes me smile because you think about your mispent youth. Out on the town, we are driving down main street Winnipeg past a rougher part of town, and there was a "drunk native" walking down the street without any shoes. So without thinking I lean out of the car and ask him/her? whether or not they needed shoes - and proceeded to throw mine to them. A little disrespectful, but he/she quickly put the shoes on, so I guess he/she needed the shoes. (I was probably trying to impress some girls in the car?). Night goes on. The next morning, I needed to be someplace - a little rough of course, the same guy I was out with woke me up the next day on route to whereever we were going. Groggy, I spent a good five minutes looking for shoes before I remembered what I did with them. (Damn it - they were my good pair). (OK probably doesn't qualify as a mis-spent youth story.) A friend locked a pizza guys keys in his car (running) while he was at a house deliverying a pizza. (nope not that one either) A friend left town for a night when we had planned to use his place to jam. so we broke in, jammed, got beer, ordered pizza, and rearranged the furniture top to bottom. (his dad, who owned and rented him the place, beat him home the next day, and locked up all our gear at his warehouse. and made us beg for it back.) eric From: "Kevin Schmidt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: CF-Community <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: Party Poopers Date: Tue, 11 Jun 2002 11:20:16 -0500 Of course, but you never did anything bad when your were a kid? Never played a prank? -----Original Message----- From: Beth F [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 11:23 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Party Poopers Kevin, We have a real "rich kids who dont' respect other people" problem in this town - I suspect its all over but its quite obvious here. Kids breaking into construction sites and doing thousands in damage. Kids shooting paintball at "drunk natives" and videotaping it. Its obvious from the videotapes that "drunk natives" are just targets, not people. It seems to me that disrespect for other people's hard earned property isnt' something funny, its something to be embarassed of. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Schmidt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 8:10 AM Subject: RE: Party Poopers > Maybe it's not the action that brings happiness, but rather remembering > a misspent youth.
