could be. There was a son who apparently works on the computer when he
comes over. And that is essentially what he told her, but he was in
Yosemite. I did not actually check the version -- does 8 look a lot like 7?
But otherwise it was as described -- password required, and she had no idea
what it was.

But the story has a happy ending and it's called knowing how to do a system
restore :)
