I know they are out there...the teachers who dumb down their science classes. There are probably quite a few science teachers who believe God created the world in seven days, but don't let any of that creep into their teachings. Actually i'm sure of it, since I was taught high school biology by a nun, and creationism was never mentioned.
It's really not that difficult to keep your theology out of the public science classroom. Shit, if a NUN can do it....!
