I went to visit my uncle in the hospital yesterday. He has advanced cancer and I was just told that the hospital has decided to stop treatment. When I got home I felt so weary that I just collapsed in my bed for 8+ hours. I wasn't sleep deprived at all, just somehow bone weary. I was told that tradition has it that someone visiting the sick takes 1/60th of their pain away. If taking 1/60th of the pain put me to sleep like that, I don't want to know what the full pain is. :(
