At one point in time, we had the market on wind turbines, but since we dropped the ball and didn't press it when the time was right, US companies declined and Eastern Europe and China took over.

Another Geen Energy Failure. Here is a clip of a foreign competitor in the wind energy business. This one seems to have potential. This is the McCamley MT01 Mk2 vertical axis wind turbine, which is located in the town of Lyaskovets, Bulgaria. Nominal design power of the featured machine is 1kW at 12m/s but early test results indicate that this will be exceeded. This power value does not include the additional solar power that will soon be incorporated (see below). Shown in this video is our pre-production prototype, which represents a new generation of wind turbine designed for urban power. Its quiet operation and stable eight leg support makes it ideal for roof top mounting in built-up areas. We will soon begin development of a much bigger machine, which will be designed for installation on commercial buildings, hotels, apartment blocks, schools, Government buildings and other suitable structures. The turbine will self start in very low winds (less than 2m/s) and has no cut-out speed, thus increasing the weather window in which it will operate. In the video you can see the rotor trying to fly while the anemometer rotates slowly, indicating almost stagnant wind conditions. Our MT01, its generator and control electronics have all been designed and manufactured by us in Bulgaria, where future development of the technology will be centred. We plan to soon add solar panels to the stator to create a CombAlt (combined alternative energy machine), so that the power of the wind and the power of the sun can be harvested by one machine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M-w5y5l8yk J - Ninety percent of politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation. - Henry Kissinger Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel. - John Quinton ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:352939 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
