Most times you can't buy the one half of a laptop power brick they actually only sell both pieces in a set which costs a lot. So it's back to using the universal plug adapter with tape so you never loose it when you need it, and carry a replacement if it's something you really need to use, like I do with my turntable just in case it falls off in transit to a gig.
