On that note...most processed foods are cheaper and that is why we see such
a rapid gain in weight amongst poorer folk. Eating healthy is much more
expensive. It's not so much a matter of it being easier to buy the oreos
over the bag of apples, it's cheaper. When you have a very limited budget,
you buy as much as you can with the little money you have and making proper
nutritional decisions goes out the door. The stuff you can afford to feed
your family with tends to be mostly processed crap that tends to add more to
the waistline than anything else.

Behavior is influenced by those around us. People find behavior more
acceptable when they see their peers doing something. You may not consider
them role models, but people in your everyday life do influence you. A role
model is simply someone who has the power to influence a larger group.

I dunno man...i think you are underestimating just how difficult it might

It's hard work. I love to sit on the sofa eating cookies, drinking beer, and
playing video games. I use to do it all the time. I stopped because I was
getting fat. I've had to workout, hit the gym, change my eating habits.
I know what it means to work at losing weight. I know it's not easy.

The other component of this that no-one has brought up is that the foods
that are widely available in grocery stores today are getting worse and
worse form a nutritional standpoint. It's so easy to buy the oreo cookies
instead of the bag of apples. But the apples are better for you. There are a
million less obvious comparisons, but they are all widely understood.

Probably my fault...sorry :)

That's what makes the list - don't worry bout it. :)
