Nothing too surprising in there. Politics is about perception. To that end, from a purely political standpoint, I think this storm is a big boost to President Obama. It's a great chance for him to show leadership, and remind everyone that he already IS the President. Plus, the country rallies around their leaders in times of crisis. It gives him a chance to perform his "duties" as President, without being seen as just a "campaigner"....yet the irony is, by suspending his campaign to "perform his duties", he furthers his candidacy MUCH more than he ever could as a "campaigner".
