Some of the oldest trees live in Big Basin Redwood Park, and are my
neighbors. The Land Trust here recently bought 8500 acres of old growth
redwoods for preservation. The acreage starts on the hill just above my
house, and runs from the ocean all the way to the ridge line. So
beautiful, and wonderful to know that it will never be developed. Plans
for parcel include trails for hiking and sustainable foresting of the new
growth trees.
