Anecdote warning: I do not present this as evidence of anything, merely my
observations when I went to go vote.

1. They had several elderly people working the polls. But not
just elderly people, West Virginia elderly people. Basically, think about
how slow an elderly person does anything, West Virginia elderly is orders
of magnitude slower. From when I walked in the door until I walked out it
took me about 40 minutes to vote...and there were only 5 people in line
ahead of me when I got there.

2. Based on the number of times the voting instructions were explained (and
re-explained) you would think they poll workers were explaining quantum
physics.

3. More people ahead of me and behind me in line asked about how to vote
along party lines than those who did not ask. I think this should be taken
off the ballot. Nothing screams 'I am too damn lazy to look into
the candidates' more than straight party voting. I don't think this
behavior should be enabled.

4. Every time I vote, I have SAT flashbacks (we use the 'scantron' type
ballots)
