I think the tea party got it's ass handed to them tonight.  Several of the
more vocal ones got replaced by democrats.

Same as 2008.  If the Republicans wanted a win, they should have picked
viable candidates.

My prediction is there will not be another Republican president until they
get out of bed with the tea party and the theocrats.  Republicans might
support those positions, but Republicans are a minority behind Democrats and
Independents who are not going to vote for candidates who hold them.
