Romney is a self professed Progressive. Murdoch was known as Rupert the Red in college. The red wasn't for Republican, but for socialism. Fox has a job. It is to steer "conservatives" to the left's most acceptable conservative ideas. Hence Fox schilling for Romney for so long. And being to the right of Darth Vader isn't hard since he was a leftist.
