I live in a very Republican county, but most of the people I know that voted
republican make less than 50 k a year...even DuPage county, which is VERY
republican has a pretty deep split in the upper echelon of wage earners
between republicans and Dems while the bulk of the lower end of the wage
spectrum vote republican.  Most of the middle vote dem.
