Yes it does...well said Scott. Even the most partisan folks of Reagans time
would compromise with democrats to get their job done. This constant
obstruction and things like signing pledges with third parties...to
me...gets to the level of being treasonous. The reason I say that is
because when they put politics above the good of the nation, they are
violating their oaths of office. Doing so is no different, in my eyes, to
assisting the enemy during war time...in fact some have. Look at Romney's
investments in China that have done things like purchase oil from Iran...in
violation of US embargo laws. Whether or not Iran is the enemy or not can
be debated...but when you...as a US citizen...have a controlling interest in
a company that does things that is contrary to the mission and policies of
the US government...that is treason. The casual attitude these folks have in
this regard makes me think that if they can find a way to profit from it,
folks like Romney would sell us out without a second thought.

I just hate this sore loser crap. Between the Romney death threats, wanting
to secede, and everything else, it irritates the shit out of me.

it is the political version of 'I am going to take my ball and go home'.

I fear for the future of our country...not because of what party sites in
the White House or controls the Senate or the House, but because politicians
have lost (or purposely abandoned the ability to compromise.

The best course of action will not always be the way democrats say is best.
The best course of action will not always be the way republicans say is
best. Often times, the best path would be somewhere in the middle, or with a
mix of ideas from both ideas.

I have said this many times in the past, in Washington, 'compromise' now
seems to mean 'we will threaten you until you agree to our terms'. It's
bullshit, and it needs to stop.
