There has been some discussion on this list about the Obama administration's pursuit of whistleblowers (which I've often agreed with), so I thought it would be nice to show the other side of the coin.
Obama issued a new President Policy Directive in October aimed at enhancing protections of whistleblowers and then the Senate passed the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act which the President signed today. Put all together, it seems like a pretty major step forward in terms protection for federal employees who expose fraud and waste.
