"Flash is just too damned buggy. It stutters, it crashes, it's the one
plugin that can actually crash my computer because I leave various browser
windows open overnight in Chrome. I uninstalled it from the PC and it just
exists as the Chrome plugin now."

Chrome is the only place I use Flash.

The constant update required to keep flash running are not worth keeping it
anywhere else. Same with acrobat.

If you have to keep up family members' PC's, switch them to chrome. Flash
updates automatically and it deals with PDF's without having to work with
the intrusive and always demanding attention acrobat plug in.
