I warned moderate republicans that the Tea Party was going to be a HUGE
negative for them for years to come.

Americans were looking for MORE compromise from their leaders, not LESS. To
create an entire branch dedicated to no compromise was.....well....dumb.
It's wrong to classify all Republicans as Tea Partiers, obviously.  But
they made the decision to cozy up to those people instead of ostracizing
them from the get go, and thus they get what they deserve.
