We had a new stretch of highway open 2 months ago (knocks about 15 minutes
off trip to DC/No. VA). Took about a month before it started showing up in
Google Navigation (GPS app).

I don't think I will ever own a stand alone GPS device again. Updates are
too slow and expensive in some cases.
