Well Scout...I DO understand your actions. You are passionate about a
cause, and you want to fight for it.

Obviously, I don't think you are doing the right thing by getting yourself
arrested, but I do not question your resolve or the purity of your
intentions.

I will be totally honest with you, because you have always been so with us:
I hope your efforts fail, and that more gun restrictions are imposed in
this country. But more importantly, I hope the personal outcome of your
actions work out OK for you, and most importantly, I hope no one gets hurt.

Just try to remember that whatever happens, we are ALL Americans, even
those of us that view what's best for each other a little differently. I
have such immense respect for you and for people like you, that I can
disagree with your positions without ever once calling into question your
character. I think if that were true for the majority of disagreements in
this country, our discourse would be a LOT more civil. Yes, i'm looking at
you Congress!
