Great. No more having to pay $25 to $100 for journal articles. And
that money almost entirely went to the publisher, very little to the
sponsoring organization or institution and nothing to the scientists.
In fact there are a number of published journals that are pay to play.
Not only do the publishers charge exorbitant prices for article
reprints, and journal articles and subscriptions, they charge the
authors a very stiff per page rate.
