late 90s was boomtime. Just saying you should not be so quick to pass judgement. But let's look at this another way. Assume for the sake of the argument -- I have doubts but let's assume -- that the parent is apathetic and could solve the kid's problem but does not, out of apathy. Why would making less food available do anything but distract the family with food insecurity? I mean?
