I agree. If you can do it, great. If you can't, you can't. The  same
standards should apply. What I personally find wrong is the
presumption that a muscular 5'11" woman could not meet the standard
*because she is a woman*, whereas a 5'6" Japanese man is presumed able
to meet them until he demonstrates otherwise.

Not that I personally am at all affected, but it seems to me that if
there are minimum physical standards for a job they shoould apply
regardless of gender or ethnicity. If you can run the course or carry
the pack or whatever and want to do it then you should be able to.
