"Are those numbers adjusted for today's dollars?"

I doubt it.  The chart did not say inflation adjusted.  Of course, what
does "inflation adjusted" mean?  The books are cooked on inflation numbers
just like they are on unemployment.


>From what I can find, an approximation of the  official inflation rates
follow:

2008:  2%
2009:  0%
2010:  2.75%
2011:  1%
2012:  2.5%

If you use the same standard used in 1990, the rates are:

2008:  7.5%
2009:  3.25%
2010:  6%
2011:  5%
2012:  6.5%


If you use the same standard used in 1980, the rates are:

2008:  10%
2009:  6%
2010:  9%
2011:  8%
2012:  10%
