I'm not talking about us fading away into death....i'm talking about our own self-inflicted destruction. This is not a passive act. We are a fundamentally flawed species....we will inevitably destroy ourselves. The dinosaurs needed an asteroid to destroy them...we need no such external force. We'll do it ourselves.
Adam Lanza does not so much repulse us as he represents us. As proof I offer the concrete steps we as a society have taken to prevent this in the future: None. This isn't the price of "living free"...this is the price of living human.
