I realize that I am going to be stirring a pot here, but we'll see.
So, in Canada there is a females only swim lesson program. No problems there. The problem I have is that the father of one of the kids was not allowed to watch his kid learn to swim because there are muslim women in the class, and therefore religious reasons are being used to prevent the father from watching his kid. http://reagancoalition.com/articles/2013/20130409006-father-swim.html?a=2 they say "Were not opening the door to one cultural group only - this is all females we're accommodating" So the way I understand this is that they won't prohibit one culture to learn to swim, but they WILL allow one culture to prohibit a father from watching his kid swim.
