I am bragging ... <grin>

Beth fixes her car for $1500 CAD (approx)... (don't remember what she
drives) - but I could buy 12 of my cars...

I think there is a humourous irony in that.

Now to turn the table...

>>don't know how young/old you are, but I'd be careful
>>about English phonetic pronunciation in telling people
Proper phonetic pronunciation or not what difference does it make how old I
am?

I'm not too proud to drive a wrecker-bound car, and remember it did come
with a new set of golf clubs.

>>if ya say "I've got a 1983 Grand Prix" they might think you are

Really.

hmmm. Does that mean you caught my sarcasm? or did I miss your point?

Eric

(to reiterate - topic was "expensive car repairs". To which I noted: I
bought a whole car (granted piece o crap) for $80USD.)

Eric-

don't know how young/old you are, but I'd be careful
about English phonetic pronunciation in telling people
about the new car - if ya say "I've got a 1983 Grand
Prix" they might think you are bragging or something.
;-)
