Had a friend who just bought a car - was driving from Winnipeg to
Thunderbay on the Transcanada. Somewhere between Atikokan and Crystal Lake
in NW Ontario a Moose hit his car. Totaled the car and put my friend in
hospital for weeks. Apparently the moose got up after the crash and walked
away.

Speaking of bears, when I was working as a mine electrician in the interior
BC, we had a grizzley tear open the side of the cook house. This place was
built of very thick wood beam covered in steel. Darned thing ripped the
walls open. - and we were about 50 feet away in Ecco trailers.
