I dunno man....it's easier to be noble and to have the luxury of principles when it's just you. But if you have starving children? Forget it man. All bets are off. I do whatever is necessary to make a better life for them. Period. Spending a lifetime fighting The Man while they starve is not noble......especially if i can make a better life for them much quicker by slithering into the US and finding employment.
I know we have an immigration problem, and I'm certainly not a limp dicked fanatic who just thinks everyone should bathe nightly in government subsidized unicorn musk.....but I have a hard time looking at hard working illegal immigrants as a HUGE problem. I've met quite a few "illegals", and to a person they've all been great. Some of their stories are pretty remarkable too. I know some of them are dipshits, but quite a few of them aren't. If their ONLY crime is crossing the border illegally....i don't see why we can't apply reasonable analysis on a case by case basis and take actions that are both appropriate and humane.
