Trinidad has many Muslims, mosques etc. I've heard it used normally before.
As well as the traditional muslim greeting *Assalamu Alaykum. *
*And then there are some who don't bother with any of that, just as is the
case with Christians and Catholics.

Also, Trinidad did have a coup attempt by a radical muslim group.
When rumours spread that they would ban alcohol there was mass rioting in
the streets and the people stuffed them into a bus and sent them packing. *
*HA HA HA!! No no that didn't happen lol but they didn't get the support of
the people that they expected, let's just say. lol.

We pardoned them, gave them land and they generally walk the streets now
normally. *
*Some business places allegedly hire them as muscle and to solve
outstanding balance issues. *
*
Apparently that was more about politics than about the particular religion
of the group. Go figure. *
*smh. *
*
*
*But anyways, the statement is heard if you live and work among Muslims.
Muslims aren't represented as anything other than evil and terrorists in
the western media, though. *
*
*
*Just as Iran and Iraq are full of sand people. The very normal people,
living very normal lives are never portrayed. *
*
*
*If it were portrayed differently and the real and varied lives were shown,
then citizens might develop empathy for the people, and that must be
prevented at all costs.*
