So far this little device has surprised me. I've gone through quite a few "junk devices" in the past 5 months or so.
Everything I thrown at it works perfect. Keep in mind... This doesn't mean the sucker won't die on me tomorrow... But so far so good. I just returned a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 because even with a full charge... It would run out of power in 2 hours. I tried a NextBook 8SE Pro... Not a great screen... And the device run hot just sitting there. The Hisense looks and feel very much like the Nexus 7... But less expensive. It runs Google Play with no problems... And eventhough it's not difficult to add YouTube...the app comes stock in the app bar. One thing that I really like... And it so simple... There is a dedicated button near the home button that takes a picture of the screen. The iPad has this feature (power + home button).... But I had to download an app to do this on the Nexus. I capture screens all the time... And this little feature is very useful to me. The screen is not quite a bright as the Nexus. The body feels a little clunkier... But it's not. I like the Nexus back cover "grip" a little better... But not a big deal. One problem I have found... Is I cannot get the camera facing you to actually work. I can see the image of myself... It takes the picture... But when i look at it ithe gallery.... it's always black. Not sure what's up with that... Bt not really an issue for. Will probably be fixed in an OS update. Nexus 7 doesn't have this issue. The camera on the back is better (I think - need to play more) than the Nexus front camera. Previously I said the build didn't feel as good... I think it's because of the vibration feature. You can set the device to vibrate whenever you touch the screen. Not sure if that's what's doing it... It's a guess so far. All in all.... Not a bad device so far. Perhaps give it a try... If you don't like it you can return it within 15 days at Walmart. I haven't tried the hdmi out yet... Or the SD card.... But YouTube and Netflix run perfect and the device never gets hot. Device also comes with vudu pre installed. I think vudu is walmarts version of Netflix. It doesn't look like you can delete vudu either.
