When my dad went to buy his Lexus he wore jeans and a flannel shirt.
Nobody bothered him, he just looked around the lot, picked the one he
wanted, went inside and told them he wanted it.  Somepeople, I myself
included don't want to deal with a salesperson until I have to.

I can't imagine a salesman doing this. I would _never_ assume anything
by how a customer looks. It just seems stupid.
