Using his logic, one could say that Michael Jordan's basketball career was a flop because his team lost some of their games. Every Nation has problems on occasion. Heck, look at Egypt right now. What the author of that piece completely misses is that while yes, we have had our ups and downs, and still have some issues to work out, we Americans can passionately disagree on issues, but we more often than not do it peacefully and under the rule of law. The rule of law (ideally) applies equally to everyone from the lowest beggar on up to the President himself (though that could be debated on some fronts right now). When the Revolution is looked at in terms of getting rid of the tyranny of a monarch or dictator in preference to a representative democracy with lots of built-in checks and balances and the rule of law, I'd say it did a pretty good. Is it perfect? No. But neither is Michael Jordan, and most agree that he was the best basketball player of all time. -Justin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:365234 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
