I got a cheap projector on amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Galaxy-DG-737-Dream-Projector/dp/B003NMW1HC/ref=pd_sim_e_3) - not thrilled at the resolution but it works pretty well for $200. It should be good for our upcoming CF Cookout for the Users's group. For a projector screen we bought some projector screen cloth ( http://www.amazon.com/Carls-Blackout-Projector-Material-66x110-inch/dp/B007KA07YM/ref=pd_ys_sf_s_172282_a1_8_p?ie=UTF8&refRID=164CVY180SRABMRDXY4R) and tacked it to the side of the house. It worked pretty well.
You can also get some fairly nice popup screens for under 200. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_2?rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Aoutdoor+projection+screen&page=2&sort=price&keywords=outdoor+projection+screen&ie=UTF8&qid=1375129199 And if worse comes to worse you can play with the keystoning to get a good approximation.
