How do you think he messed up?

Personally I think he fecked up when he issued his "line in the sand". He
shouldn't have made that statement without being 100% prepared to launch
missiles without Congressional approval immediately upon getting proof that
Syria had violated that line.

I still wouldn't have approved of it, but at least he would have been
consistent in giving his word, and then backing it up decisively.
