It may have something to do with: The Arctic ice cap growing by 60% in the last year, or more than a million square miles. Poor BBC. It was just six years ago that it predicted that the Arctic Ice Cap would be completely melted by 2013. Probably doesn't help that the hurricane season has been quiet. Hell, according to NOAA data, the severity of hurricane seasons have been lessening since the 1940's. Or that tornado outbreaks have over the last 60 years have been decreasingly violent (at least according to NOAA data). I guess there's still Greenland's glacier melt. Well maybe not. Recent discoveries show that the glacier is being melted from above and below by an expanded heat flow from the mantle.
