I have been the webmaster for the Kendall County (IL) Democrats for almost a year now...last month, they asked me to run for Precinct Committeeman. This will be my first elected state office. Granted, I am not running against anyone, so I don't get to do the campaign insanity...but I guess you have to start somewhere! I am excited. I have thought about entering the political arena for some time now. I made the "mistake" of telling one of my county board members that I wanted to get more involved last year and she has held my feet to the fire on that LOL. It's been fun. I have had the opportunity to meet, and actually talk at length, some of the elected officials in IL. My 8 year old daughter is even involved and loves going to the fairs and riding floats in parades.
