That does not match ANYTHING I saw on television during the entire process of getting this approved. I saw Bohner talk, Obama, Pelosi and several other people come out and face the press and the public about what was happening.
There was so much dissection of the bill and different views on what the final outcome would be, that for you to say it was shoved down people's throats and was done behind closed doors is...totally ridiculous. Republicans themselves announced victories along the way in getting things scaled back. The fact is that it is the law. And the Republicans are now holding an entire country, and beyond, to ransom because they did not get what they wanted. And it is wrong.
