Just as bad or worse in what ways? "Worse" will be different for different people, so without context that statement doesn't mean much. The "big L" Libertarian Party is pretty conservative on fiscal matters (e.g. small government spending, cut out lots of programs and entitlements, etc.) and very liberal on social matters (e.g. abortion is okay, gay marriage is fine, etc.). The Libertarians basically want to stay out of your wallet and your bedroom and let each person rule themselves without interfering with the rights of others to do the same. The problem is that their philosophy relies on everyone being rational and fair to everyone else. People with inherent problems (e.g. mental illness, physical disabilities, severe existing medical conditions, etc.) don't really have a place in that system (charities and churches can take care of them, basically). My biggest problem with "Big L" politics is that there is little or no protection from business interests which can be and usually are in direct competition with individual interests or external interests such as environmental protection. Some businesses are great, others will abuse the heck out of whatever or whoever they can and the LP doesn't have a good answer, in my opinion, for reigning them in (which is why we have agencies such as the FDA, EPA, etc. to begin with, agencies that the LP would love to dismantle). -Justin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:367776 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
