" The US is the sole country in the world that has the capability to project force across the globe on a large scale. The combined military air- and sealift capability of the rest of the world would be insufficient to even get a foothold on the continental United States. The amphibious assault capability of the world's militaries, excluding the United States, is simply too small."
Wow, that sounds really familiar to me. Maybe like something I said on this list within like the last week when faced with the prospect of even a joint Chinese and Russian invasion, which somehow magically takes out our first strike nuclear capability, they simply do not have the lift and float capability to land a force capable of taking a beach, much less a major American city. So wars of intervention make us safer? Billions of dollars, thousands of lives lost.
