With the commuting nightmares, the high cost of living, the insane property tax rates, and the decline of the billion dollar racehorse industry that thrived in Jersey for decades, the net loss doesn't surprise me.
And don't get me wrong, I'm proud to be a Jerseyite... but damn glad I got out of there. Also - the whole "baby boomers" mass exodus to warmer climates is definitely a factor.
