in the Star Trek episode "Omega Glory", painted with a roller rather than a brush, you had the Yangs (Caucasian appearance) vs. the Kohms (Chinese appearance). The Yangs had a flag which (gosh, golly in a whole different star system even) looked exactly like our Old Glory. And their "Holy Book" began with the words "We, The People..." although they completely mis-pronounced them. They were completely unaware of the original significance or even the correct words. Yet they built a whole faith upon this foundation.
