Not that funny, Ben; it just so happens that on my work e-mail (Lotus Notes) the default Spell Check *is* in French. !_!
AND since Notes runs (essentially) off a centralized server (for my company most are in Paris), it will reset itself at random times to the default, so you never know what you're gonna' get... will ---- William H.
