Sarin apparently is only useful for a couple of months...less if the
components were contaminated.  That was according to a wiki article on
Sarin.

That points out that the plant made Sarin, VX and Mustard Gas.  Again, I'm
not a chemist (most of your email went well over my head) but even if they
couldn't, there is still the intimidation factor.
