You're going to see no loss from the connection. Whatever the monitor has, there is an apple dongle connector thingy for it.
You don't really need to go Samsung for what you are doing. The Asus, Dell monitors etc. should be great. Dell Ultrasharp series are great monitors, and they are usually well priced. I think any modern monitor is going to be a great improvement if yours is a bit old. IPS is the best , brightest colour fidelity, and you probably don't need it since you don't play games, or do high quality photo work. But it does make a difference. What is going to benefit you the most is screen size. Go as big as you can afford. If you go into the 27" range then think about a monitor with a resolution of at least 2560 x 1440 rather than 1920 x 1080 or x 1200. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:371989 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
