CNN Money is a separate site from CNN.COM although .COM will link to
articles on Money. The articles on Money are there because they were
written by Money staffers instead of .COM staffers. All articles are
tagged but the display created by automatically selecting the tags
only happens below the fold in the various sections.

I know this because my sister the main page producer for CNN.com
weekends ( http://www.cnn.com/profiles/amanda-barnett ) and I've been
visiting with her for the last few weeks. The website has been
undergoing a massive overhaul and they are trying to work out the
kinks so the content ends up in the correct sections, but keyword
tagging is causing all kinds of bizarre issues.

For instance, if you go to the Space and Science section, you will
see bottom of the page articles about Ted Cruz because of his recent
appointments in the Senate, even though the content of the articles
are political, and not science.

The two articles mentioned do seem out of place in the Money section.
Looks like perhaps some Money staffer has an agenda.
